INTRODUCING

TRIPLE TURNER TREAT

ORDER NOW

Three books on J.M.W.Turner, one of the stellar artists of all time who in a
single bound has leapt from the 18th to the 21st century, created by one of the greatest Turner admirers of his age, Douglass Graham. Three books rolled into one, three treats for the price of one…

The first, Ascending Turner is an autobiography by Turner himself, recreated in a way never attempted before. It is ‘written’ by Turner himself, with his etching tools.
Turner’s ascending life unfolds year after year in his graphic works, illustrated with 100 stunning Turners. Graham keeps the commentary to the minimum, to
allow Turner to tell his own story. No genius lives in isolation from his times. To add a brand new dimension to our understanding Turner, Graham introduces each of Turner’s working years with a capsule summary of the most important cultural and historic events of the day.

The second treat is Adventures of an Intrepid Collector, relates Graham’s memoirs as an art collector, covering nearly half a century. Packed with intimate stories, revealing illustrations and sofar unpublished secrets; Graham recalls his encounters in the artistic and financial arena with some of the top players of his age, including Philip Anschutz, Bill Berger, Paul Cabot, Salvador Dali, Evelyn Joll, Paul Mellon, Joan Miro, Henry Moore, Kurt Pantzer, David Rockefeller, Sally Duchess of Westminster Also with a few villains who remain mercifully anonymous.

The third treat The Compleat List of the Graphic Works of J.M.W.Turner is the first major revision of Turner’s prints since the pioneering works of Rawlinson and Finberg a century ago. Graham’s list separates the wheat, Turner’s originals, from the chaff, the numberless prints that were published without the benefit of his eagle-eyed supervision, or after Turner’s passing. Like his autobiography, Turner’s graphics are presented in chronological order, giving us an unsurpassed overview of Turner’s ascending genius, year after year.

Douglass Graham, the author of Triple Turner Treat is one of the foremost Turner admirers of his age. He founded The Turner Museum, one of the 99 top art museums in America, in 1973. He authored numerous works on Turner including more than half-a-dozen exhibition catalogs. Graham’s triple career in British Intelligence, Wall Street investment banking and as a museum curator led to his inclusion intoOne Thousand Great Americans, first edition, published in Cambridge, England by IBC in 2003.(ISBN# 0948875984) Graham for a quarter century has been a vice-president (board member) of London’s Turner Society of which H.R.H. The Prince of Wales is Patron.
